Pace Airlines Receives Operational Certification to Begin 145 Repair Station Contracting at its Heavy Maintenance Base in Winston-Salem

Winston-Salem, NC - Winston-Salem based Pace Airlines announced today that it has received Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) approval to broaden its ability to perform heavy maintenance on aircraft owned by leasing companies and other customers. The announcement was made from Pace's heavy maintenance base at 4001 North Liberty Street in Winston-Salem, NC.

The 145 Repair Station Certification allows Pace to perform heavy maintenance inspections, repairs and modifications on Boeing 737 equipment and includes aging aircraft inspections. Pace intends to add the Boeing 757 to the certification in the very near future.

Russ Kota, Vice President of Maintenance said; "this marks the culmination of years of work by our employees. Pace Airlines has been in business for over 10 years and presently operates 16 aircraft including the Boeing 737 and Boeing 757 aircraft. Pace employs 403 full-time and part- time employees nationwide with nearly 200 based in Forsyth County.
